Care and cleaning of copper cookware
When using copper cookware, it is essential to heat pans to working temperature, about one to three minutes on a medium heat setting before adding food.
To prevent sticking, ensure oil is at room temperature and add to a hot pan. Always bring liquids to a boil first before adding salt to prevent unsightly pitting.
Overheating can cause permanent discoloration.
Cleaning
After use, immerse pan in warm, soapy water. For thorough cleaning, we recommend nylon sponges and copper cleaning products for the inside and Stainless Steel polish for the outside where required.
Always following the label instructions is vital.
Wash and rinse pans thoroughly afterwards and dry immediately. On most copper cookware it is advisable not to use steel wool, oven cleaners or chlorine bleach, nor to clean in the dish washer.
